Barely 72 hours after the terrible earthquake of February 6th, Empact's first team of disaster medical specialists and medical pathfinders was on the ground. While their initial mission was to evaluate the areas of greatest need, they found themselves instead immediately put to work, supporting the operations of rescue teams from Romania, Turkey, and France. Alongside our partners Mobile Medics International, Empact's experienced personnel provided medical oversight and support while rescuers worked doggedly to locate six reported victims.
Meanwhile, Empact's Turkey Team 2 is off the ground, departing Seattle with the support of strategic partners Airlink and Turkish Airlines, en route to join Team 1 in Kahramanmaras.
